Maria earned her Master of Science in Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Alberta in 2014, where she also completed her dietetic internship. With a diverse background spanning acute care, geriatrics, continuing care, and obesity management, Maria has cultivated a wealth of experience across various healthcare settings.

Currently, she serves as a dietitian at an endocrinology clinic and in long-term care, teaches at the University of Alberta, and contributes to research with both the PCOS Together initiative and the C-Endo clinic. A passionate advocate for dietetic practice at the national level, Maria is actively involved in numerous advocacy projects across Alberta. She also volunteers as a provincial representative for the Dietitians of Canada Gerontology Network, continuing to champion the vital role of dietitians in improving the lives of older adults.
