Pauline is a registered dietitian who has enjoyed 40 years of studying, working, teaching, and leading research in various areas of clinical nutrition. Pauline completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry-Nutrition at the University of Ottawa, her dietetic internship at Kingston General Hospital her MSc in Nutrition at the Université de Montreal. Following the completion of her PhD in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto (1997), she worked as Coordinator of Nutrition and Dietetic Research, Associate Scientist Keenan Research Centre in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St Michael’s Hospital, and held an appointment as Assistant Professor, Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto. In 2015, she moved back to Ottawa to join the School of Nutrition Sciences at the University of Ottawa as Assistant Professor until 2021.

Pauline has taught numerous university courses in clinical nutrition, nutritional assessment, sports nutrition, professional practice, and life cycle nutrition. She has volunteered on numerous committees and working groups for Dietitians of Canada and the Canadian Nutrition Society; and has served as a grants reviewer for agencies including the Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, and the Canadian Institutes for Health Research.
